The climbing here isn't the best in the Angeles, but it is very accessible. If you come on a weekday that isn't busy you SHOULD NOT drive from campsite to campsite exploring different boulders (the law says you can't park at campsites without paying for a campsite). The Manzanita Slab Boulder has a lot of good taller problems. Campsite 8,7,6 have scattered low balls. And near campsite 25 are the hardest problems in the loop.

In the winter, Horse Flats closes and sometimes the 6,000 foot gate closes as well. This leaves Chilao as a great option for camping. So if you find yourself here, maybe bring your pad and goof around. Not a first choice spot, but good to know about.
